STAND BY YOUR TASTE: The German photographer Horst A. Friedrichs (Frankfurt, 1966) photographed contemporary Mods and Rockers who’s taste has become a lifestyle that involves more than music, hairstyles and clothing, and is reflected in every aspect of how they present themselves to the outside world. Taste as a guiding principle, as an extreme consequence of personal choice, in short, as a reason for being.

The photographs from the exhibition were published in two books that will be available during the exhibition.

The opening reception of STAND BY YOUR TASTE will be held on Saturday 10 March 2012 at 22PM during the 11th Rotterdam Museum Night and lasts until 02AM.
Horst Friedrichs will be present and the evening/night will be framed by DJs, live music and surprising interludes (all completely Mods/Rockers style).
